About David S. Jenson, DPM

Dr. Jenson is a podiatrist who treats both children and adults for all problems related to the foot and ankle.  He specializes in lower extremity peripheral nerve surgery and is a leading physician in the Houston area in this specialty.  He is very pleased to offer a nerve decompression procedure to patients suffering with neuropathy, which produces painful burning, tingling, and numbness in the legs and feet.  The causes of neuropathy include diabetes, HIV, and many other conditions.  The nerve decompression procedure can reverse neuropathic pain, while restoring balance, muscle strength, and sensation.  There has been no incidence of ulceration or amputation following this procedure.  Dr. Jenson is trained by A. Lee Dellon of Johns Hopkins and is certified in this specialized procedure.

Dr. Jenson attended California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California.  He completed a nine-month internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.  He received additional training in pediatric orthopedics, gait analysis and biomechanics and surgery as an orthopedic resident in New York City.  He further completed a three-year comprehensive surgical residency in Houston, Texas where he received training from more than 50 attending physicians and surgeons.  He is highly trained in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery and sports medicine.  He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association, and the Lower Extremity Peripheral Nerve Fellowship Group.

Dr. Jenson uses the latest technology to diagnosis and treat all foot and ankle conditions.  He offers endoscopic and arthroscopic procedures to allow short recovery time.  Many of his patients tend to be active sports enthusiasts and these procedures allow them to be back on their feet as soon as possible.  Dr. Jenson is very personable, trusted, and caring. He enjoys working with people and thrives on relieving pain and improving quality of life.

Dr. Jenson serves patients in two convenient locations, The Woodlands and Houston, both with free parking. Two of his four employees are bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. Patients are greeted with a smile and made to feel pampered. Most insurance is accepted and financing options are available. Dr. Jenson is also on staff at many area hospitals and surgical centers.

When out of the office, Dr. Jenson enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children, Ashton and Savannah.  He also enjoys running, weight lifting, tennis, sports, reading and being a father.
